Sasha von Varga, LCSW is the founder of Collaborators, Inc.  Sasha is a clinical social worker specializing in service to children (5-12, teens (13-19),  adults (18-100),  couples and family therapy, and maintains a private clinical practice in Northfield, IL.  He works with people in the communities in and around the North Shore area.

With 29  years of experience in community mental health practice in hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, clinic, agency and therapeutic school settings, Sasha currently sees a broad range of clients using a combination of relationship-based, psycho-dynamically informed therapy that is mindful of the benefits of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) concepts and mindfulness (after all, we are what we think and feel).  Sasha also works with parents who seek guidance in their parenting process to effect positive change. Sasha is an interactive, process-focused therapist.  His therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life experiences and challenges. He integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach suited to the issues of the client.  With compassion, understanding, and when it fits-humor, he works with all his clients to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

In addition to being a respected relationship therapist, Sasha also works with divorcing or separating couples to help parents minimize the negative effects of divorce by engaging them in a conscious frame of problem-solving that keeps the children and their futures at the heart of their process.  Sasha is a divorce consultant, Collaborative divorce coach, collaborative Child Specialist, and mediator in Cook and Lake Counties.   Sasha is member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), and a Fellow of  Collaborative Divorce of Illinois (CDI), and serves on the faculty of educators who teach attorneys, certified divorced financial  analysts (CDFA's), and mental health professionals the paradigm of the collaborative divorce process in Illinois.  Sasha is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals( IACP), and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC).
